So, in today's post, I will be covering some missed
information from the past. We will begin with some insider information from a
source that Pokebeach has discovered. Pokejungle has a plethora of different rumors
posted in this block of time that I was gone, notably 14 new Pokemon names by
Pokexperto, in which two of them have been revealed, that I will be covering a little later. Hiro has also leaked
another piece of information about a new kind of Pokemon, which we will get into
a little later. Anyways, here is the insider information after the May/June CoroCoro leak:
-Fairy will be a new type. It is weak to Poison and Steel,
immune to Dragon, super effective against Dragon, Dark, and Fighting, and Fire
and Psychic-type Pokemon take half damage from it.
-Sylveon is Fairy-type. Some older Pokemon will be
reclassified to Fairy, such as Mawile (Steel/Fairy).
-Mewtwo has two new formes, not just one. Both are activated
via items.
-The professor's English name is Patrice.
-The Starter final evolutions are Fire/Psychic, Grass/Dark,
and Water/Fighting.
-The first Gym is Bug, the second is Fairy, and the fourth
is Fighting.
-A few attacks will be dual-typed.
-There will be a new type of battling style that Flying-type
Pokemon and Pokemon with Levitate can participate in.
-You will be able to see a Pokemon's EVs at a certain in-game
facility. You will be able to boost the EVs through mini-games. It will take
about two hours to get one stat to max EVs.
Other information includes a source leaking Parabolic Charge
three months before it was officially confirmed in the May/June CoroCoro leak,
and one source, along with Hirobyte, known for leaking the B/W Pokedex
extremely early, had confirmed the Fairy-type, which was a type that many had
speculated Sylveon to be. This leaker had also mentioned that Panchum would be
Yanchamu's English name, Fletchling would be Yayakoma's English name, Gogoat
was to stay as it was, and Erekiteru's English name to be Helioptile. These
names were leaked two days after the initial CoroCoro leak, and were confirmed
by the Official Pokemon Website one day after the English names were leaked. The Karos Region was localized to the Kalos Region, and Miare City was now Lumiose City. Helioptile was Normal/Electric, Fletchling was Normal/Flying, Gogoat was Grass and Pancham was Fighting. The only small typo the leaker had made was the "u" instead of the "a" in Pancham's name, but that is because he claimed to have played an early demo of the game. This leaker had also thrown some fake information as part of his leaks so Nintendo would stay off of his tail. I don't think I mentioned Mewtwo getting a new forme, being dubbed as "Awakened Mewtwo," can be seen below, and was featured in the April/May CoroCoro, I believe.
Anyways, one week after CoroCoro had leaked, and four days after the English localizations were confirmed, Pokebeach had released the other batch of insider information. They strictly made it clear that these were unconfirmed and just rumors, which we all knew.
-Pancham evolves into Pangoro in the early level 30s. In order to evolve Pancham into Pangoro, you need to have one other Dark-type Pokemon in your party. Pangoro's type is Fighting/Dark.
-A Pokemon named Inkay evolves into Malimar. To evolve it, you have to hold your 3DS upside-down when it levels up (the 3DS has an accelerometer and gyroscope, so it can detect that). Malimar's type is Dark/Psychic.
-A Psychic-type Pokemon named Espurr (ESP + purr) evolves into Meowstick (Meow + mystic?). (Sounds like Psychic-type cats. Meowstick's name sounds too similar to Meowth to me though.)
-Like in B/W you have two rivals - one is friendly and the other is competitive. Your rival that is more friendly gives you his/her fully evolved starter Pokemon after you beat the game.
-Another professor named Sycamore gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
-Even though it shows the player riding on a Gogoat in the new trailer, players can't ride on their own Pokemon. What was shown is just an alternate way of getting around Lumiose City and it only works with Gogoat.
-HMs still exist but there's a lot less of them.
-Players will be able to see their Pokemon's EVs (probably through the same in-game facility mentioned in the other post).
-A new move, Belch, is a Poison-type attack that has a base power of 120. The user must consume a held Berry to perform it.
-Draining Kiss is a Fairy-type attack that heals the user for the same amount of damage performed. It has a base power of 60.
-If the previously revealed forme of Mewtwo can be said to look roughly similar to Mewtwo's original design, the second supposed form of Mewtwo can be said to look roughly/vaguely similar to Mew's design.
They also mentioned that the final evolutions for Chespin, Froakie and Fennekin would be Grass/Dark, Water/Fighting and Fire/Psychic respectively, which was probably the most believable of all insider information. May 17th's Smash also featured some of this information, which was previously stated to be "big news." This is all of the information regarding X/Y from May 2013, and all of this information is courtesy of Pokebeach. I am currently working on an essay and a book report before school starts, so I cannot post a lot of information. I will be posting some of Pokejungle's information during May 2013, including Smash information, rumors, speculations, theories and more. This will be done later today, so just hang tight! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Yes, I will be covering the E3 Press Conference, the June/July CoroCoro Leak, the July/August CoroCoro leak, and the August/September CoroCoro leaks as well. All CoroCoro leaks are named a month later than they leak, so this CoroCoro that I just covered is considered the June CoroCoro, but to prevent confusion, I will label it as the May/June CoroCoro. All of this information will be coming little at a time, and I hope to get all of the May 2013 X/Y News completed and out by the end of the week. Please be patient, and for the sake of our readers, do not spoil the leaks from June/July, July/August or August/September, and do not mention anything new that our readers do not know about. Thank you for reading, and for your cooperation, and have fun reading and discussing! :D
